The field of healthcare is a popular area for young adults choosing a career. Not only are healthcare jobs plentiful, but the pay is usually good and the advancement potential is pretty good too.

Healthcare jobs run the gamut from nursing to doctors to medical testing equipment technicians. The schooling required for these jobs varies. Some career areas only require a short formal education period, some are even under one year for a few technician training or massage therapy training programs. Others require an unbelievable commitment — including doctors and other medical specialists.

Most healthcare education is still delivered from the traditional classroom style of learning. While online degrees and online classes are becoming more commonplace, much of the health and medical training needs to be delivered in person and the student needs to develop practical experience with the lessons. That being said, many students are now being offered the option of completing some classes via an online classroom experience.
